Fun Fabulous Friday and MDA

Welcome to Fun Fabulous Friday.  Cheesy, you bet ;)! I thought this would be a fun way to share how you spend time with your families, the fun traditions you have started, special occasions and how you celebrate. Also, I would love to be able to share Pinterest success and failures.  Please email me, I would love to hear from you!  If the fear of writing something is keeping you from sharing-don't, I will be happy to write it for you:). If sharing a Pinterest pin, would you pretty please send me the link and also a picture (if possible) of the after and a little about if it was a success, a fail, or what you did to put your own twist on it. Thank you!

I would like to wish you a Happy Labor Day weekend.  The grand finale of summer.  I will miss the smell of sun block, hot days, BBQing and sleeping in:) The MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) telethon is another 'you know summer is over' event.  I can remember watching it as far back as I can remember.  Though the telethon itself has gone through some major changes in the last few years, what they are trying to accomplish has not. Great breakthroughs have happened thanks to the research grants and clinical trials and studies they have been able to fund.  The MDA association has given hope to families when all seemed hopeless.  Muscular Dystrophy has affected our MOPS group.  Thomas, the 6 year old son (and BFF of my son, Jacob) of our fabulous and sweet Publicity Coordinator, Joelle, is living with Becker Muscular Dystrophy (BMD).  I have seen first hand how this disease is impacting a family.  Thanks to MDA, they have been able to access state of the art services, help, and support they need to help Thomas strive. I am inspired by their courage, their joy, and mostly their faith. If you would like to learn more about MDA or would like information on how you can help just click on the link.  http://mda.org/  Have a safe and wonderful holiday weekend!
